Lotto Number Generator
Generate random lotto numbers for South African and international games, or set your own range. Up to 10 lines at a time.
About this tool
Numbers are drawn with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, so every combination is equally likely. No pick makes a win more likely. Check the official rules before you play, and play responsibly: only spend what you can afford to lose. You must be 18 or older to play the South African National Lottery.
Pick random numbers for SA Lotto, PowerBall and Daily Lotto, the UK Lotto, EuroMillions, the US Powerball and Mega Millions, or set your own game. Every line is drawn with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, and the tool shows the odds of matching every number on one line. It is for fun: no method or tool can predict a draw.

- Choose the game, or Custom to set how many numbers and the range.

One SA PowerBall line
SA PowerBall draws 5 main numbers from 1 to 50 and a PowerBall from 1 to 16 (the format since 1 June 2026). There are 2,118,760 ways to choose 5 numbers from 50, and 16 possible PowerBalls, so the chance of matching everything on one line is 1 in 2,118,760 × 16 = 1 in 33,900,160. SA Lotto, 6 numbers from 1 to 52, works out at 1 in 20,358,520.

Why no numbers are luckier
In a fair draw every combination is equally likely, including 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Past results don’t change the next draw, so “hot” and “overdue” numbers make no difference. What can change is how many people share a prize: birthdays and patterns are popular, so a jackpot won with them is more likely to be split. Random lines avoid those patterns, but they don’t improve your odds of winning.
Common mistakes
- Believing a number is due. Each draw is independent of the last.
- Spending more than you planned to chase a jackpot. Set a limit and stick to it.
- Using an old game format. Operators change their rules from time to time, so check the current format before you play.
