Days from 1 December to Christmas
On 1 December 2026 (a Tuesday), choosing 25 December 2026 gives 24 days to go: 3 weeks and 3 days. Of those, 18 are weekdays from Monday to Friday, and it is about 576 hours away. Christmas 2026 falls on a Friday. From the same day, New Year's Day 2027 is 31 days away.
How the days are counted
The calculator counts calendar days between today's date and the date you choose, using whole days so clock changes for daylight saving do not affect the answer. Today is not included: if the date is tomorrow, the answer is 1 day. If you want to include both today and the target day, add one. Weekdays count Monday to Friday from today up to, but not including, the target date; public holidays are not removed because they differ by country. Hours are simply days multiplied by 24, so they are approximate when the event has a specific time.

How many days until Christmas?
Press the Christmas button. It fills in the next 25 December and shows the days left from today. After Christmas has passed, it counts to next year's.
Does the count include today?
No. Today is day zero, so tomorrow is 1 day away. Add one if you want to count today as well.
Can I count days since a date in the past?
Yes. Choose a past date and the result shows how many days ago it was, with the same weeks and weekdays breakdown.
How many weeks until a date?
The detail line shows the weeks and leftover days, for example 10 weeks and 4 days. Divide the total days by 7 for a decimal number of weeks.
